BDO, PBAT, PTMEG new material industry chain integration projects have been put on record
The company signed an investment framework agreement with the Wuhai Economic Development Zone Low-Carbon Industrial Park Management Committee in the early stage, and plans to invest in BDO, PBAT, and PTMEG new material industry chain integration projects. Recently, Inner Mongolia Sunway New Materials Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Inner Mongolia Sunway"), a holding subsidiary of Zhejiang Sunway Rubber Products Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as the "Company"), obtained the "Project Filing Notice" served by Wuhai Development and Reform Commission. ", project code: 2108-150303-04-01-734224, the details are as follows:
1. Project unit: Inner Mongolia Sunway New Materials Co., Ltd.;
2. Project name: 900,000 tons/year BDO and degradable plastic integration project;
3. Construction site: Wuhai City - Hainan District - Low Carbon Industrial Park;
4. Total investment: 13,066 million yuan
5. Planned construction start and end years: 2021/08 to 2026/12
6. Construction scale and content: After the project is completed, it will form 900,000 tons/year of 1,4 butanediol (BDO), 600,000 tons/year of degradable plastic PBAT, 300,000 tons/year of high-end polyether material PTMEG and 100,000 tons/year of high-end polyether material PTMEG. Tons/year of electronic grade fine chemical products γ-butyrolactone (GBL) and 50,000 tons/year of N-methylpyrrolidone (NMP), and supporting construction of public and auxiliary facilities. The project will be invested and constructed in two phases: the first phase will invest 8.7 billion yuan, and the construction contents include 600,000 tons/year of 1,4 butanediol (BDO), 300,000 tons/year of degradable plastic PBAT, and 120,000 tons/year of high-end polymer. Ether material PTMEG, supporting the construction of a 720,000-ton/year acetylene (carbide) raw material combined plant and a 1.2 million-ton/year formaldehyde plant. The construction period is from August 2021 to August 2024. The second-phase investment is 4.366 billion yuan, and the construction content includes 300,000 tons/year of 1,4 butanediol (BDO), 300,000 tons/year of degradable plastic PBAT, 180,000 tons/year of high-end polyether material PTMEG, and 100,000 tons/year of high-end polyether material PTMEG. Electronic grade fine chemical products γ-butyrolactone (GBL) and 50,000 tons/year N-methylpyrrolidone (NMP), supporting the construction of 360,000 tons/year acetylene (calcium carbide) raw material complex, 600,000 tons/year ton/year formaldehyde plant, the construction period is from March 2023 to December 2026.
In order to ensure the progress of the project, Wuhai City has now "approved in principle to change the 1.2 million-ton calcium carbide plant for the continued construction of the low-carbon industrial park as the upstream source of raw materials for the three-dimensional new material industry integration project in Inner Mongolia".
